Besides the usual bass oriented suspects, what other online forums do you frequent?
As a big sports fan, I post on the Baltimore Sun's Orioles board, typically only during the summer, however, and to a lesser extent on their Ravens board. Since my wife doesn't want me chasing younger women, and I can't justify buying a sports car when there are so many EBMM basses still to be purchased, I bought a Playstation 2 and Gran Turismo 4 racing game. There are a couple of GT4 forums I take a peek at several times a day. From a recording standpoint, I use a Fostex 16 track machine and go to a forum only when I have a question or problem. And that's about it for me.

Mods, if not appropriate, please feel free to DOB.

I like some of the adult educational sites, see I practice bass naked and don’t own a strap…

This site is my favorite, but I use Cubase so sometimes I have to venture over there when I have problems. But since I took up bass guitar I don’t mess with my DAW’s much.

I moderate a family forum... I participate here... Two forums for me! :)

I have leveraged other forums purely for support (photography, skiing, home-improvement).

None... none other forums. In the midst of planning to rule the world, I only have time enough for this board. :D

Only that one with the Japanese schoolgirls.....no, wait, not that one.

Seriously, this one and the Dudepit take up a lot of my online time since I moderate here and admin over there and there are a LOT of you guys. I read TB occasionally, mostly to flog the Bongo and see who Steve Barr is driving insane and also to support HeavyDuty, who moderates over there.

This week it was Roger Sadowsky who I drove insane on TB and Bassmonkee and I jointly decided to give poor ole Heavyduty a break from chasing us around and beating us with sticks and stuff.

well.....

I used to hit the Pit every day but I was more of a lurker than a poster. With DP2 I tend to post a bit more.

I like the FDP and the Rick forums because I also like my Fenders and me Ricky.

This forum is special because of the input from some of the good folks who work at Ernie Ball. Your customer service is unrivaled . This forum is different than the others because of that.

I'm a mod over at TB, and very rarely I cruise over to either the Vanguard Diehards forum at Morningstar.com or the discussions over at Doonesbury.com ...

I still get and read the TBL daily but haven't posted in years since that Dann Glenn/Jeff Berlin thing when I called Dann "Gilligan" to Jeff's "Skipper" and he threatened to hide out in my bushes with a rifle.

I read Talkbass daily but that new "CUP" policy made it so darned hard to spam over there now, even when I'm not spamming some 17 year old moderator jumps my hide so I only post over there after a twelve pack and everyone else has gone to bed. I'll be reading and posting in the EBMM threads over there now so watch this....some Bongo licking ahead.

I still maintain one usnet group over at alt.guitar.bass but even that is old technology now like the TBL and kind of a hassle. It's really fun around election times though!

I sometimes sniff around on the FDP but don't even register under assumed names just to mess with Rudy anymore...My last registered handle over there was "Schmuggabugga" but I was also "Rudyisamoe" and a "Chrisgreeneisadink" at other times I think. Most of the members over there probably don't even remember I was the first bass forum mod over there...poof...yesterday's news just like the FDP. You gotta pay to read Schome's Tavern now?? Al's Nudie Bar will always be free and a heck of a lot more, umm..."uncensored" shall we say.

That's about it for me anymore...I used to read over a dozen newsgroups or forums every day as well as look at every single new bass listing on eBay every day...now I have trouble keeping up on the Pit to be honest...some forums over there I haven't even been in for months and my ebay time is mainly down to looking for oddballs and cheap ho's...I'm currently on a vintage Vox bass kick.

Now I am reading this place and mostly just wanting to say to BP that you're a good egg Mr. Ball...business associate or drinking buddy all the same...you're just a good dude Biff and it's a pleasure to meetchya!

We'll see what we can do over here on this end and I won't pee in this prickly pear too much out of respect for other EBMM dealers who also participate (not lurk) here...whoever you are (I hear there's two of you) ping me...we need to talk. I send more referrals out to other dealers a day than I make sales and if you're a EBMM dealer who participates & contributes here I want to meet you. Tell me what you have in stock and I'll send customers your way.

I know of no other manufacturer on the planet that does what BP is doing here on this forum...kudos bro! Finally, I find a manufacturer who doesn't look upon the internet as a "fad" while also being able to keep everybody on level playing terms!!!

Ok..off to tick off somebody on Talkbass now...it's a new week so they must have a new "FOTM" manufacturer by now to oogle over....funny how EBMM has been innovating the bass guitar every step of the way for nearly 30 years though huh??

EBMM is the only forum i'm registred in. I sometimes lurk John Myung (Dream Theatre's bassist) forum ; there are some guys with good knoweledge and it has a sticky thread with technical infos (diffrent type of woods, mics, amps...) that is really well done. But i sorelly don't have time to post in it. TB is to huge ; every time I go there i could spent hours just lurking, not even thinking what it would be if I would participate, so I avoid it.
