Ok boys and girls...how many of you go wireless with your MM? I just got me a Sennheiser rig and I LOVE IT. No more cords for this cat, the Ray is free............works with my acoustic guitar too so all I have to do to switch back and forth is unplug one cord from the receiver to my Sansamp and go into my Aphex acoustic exciter and BINGO! Life is good.....oh, and I don't hear any signal loss but maybe my ears aren't as refined as yous guys. Cut the cord!!!!

I've been trying to get my hands on some of the Samson Airline Bass wireless systems Aussie Mark has recommended off eBay for quite sometime now. It will be mine. Oh yes, it will be mine!

I had an Airline for about a month. It didn't work well for me. It kept cutting out even when I wasn't that far away. I switched to Sennheiser.......no problems since.

A friend of mine played bass for Savage Garden amd had an Samson endorsment. There are a few old ads running with Lee and the Airline system and of course his trusty MM. He doesn't use the MM now due to other contracts but I can tell you he still has those basses and loves them.

I have an AKG WMS40 wireless unit and it works great for me, all the way down to the low B.
I like it so much I use it even on rehearsals.
Cheers

you guys want real wireless preformance? go with the original, the inventor of, the master, the one , the only; NADY SYSTEMS!

that's what I use. never had an issue other than a transmitter shorting (very common problem with all wireless systems) because I had it turned on and it touched metal. they fixed for free!

GO NADY!

I asked this question last month and got some good info right here...

I am leaning toward Shure - PGX or SLX - I've got a couple of months to decide... :)

nobody has mention AKG yet. They're maybe a bit more expensive than the others, but check out the frequency response specs, especially on the 400 series: -3dB point is down at 35hz!!!

Companys will only fix stuff for free out of warranty if it's considered a manufacturing or design defect.

The antenna shorting to metal? Sounds to me like a case of poor design - antennas should always be shrouded (rubber ducky style or similar) or else you not only risk shorting it out, but you risk RF burns as well.
