There have been a few games on ABC also. It's hard for many of us to care about the U.S. team when they consistently go out there and suck it up. I wasted 90+ mins on yesterdays game just to see our team get outplayed by a team that had more heart and obviously wanted it more. If the U.S. had won yesterday, it would of been a big step forward for Soccer in America. Until the U.S. gets to the finals, it will continue to be just a "kids" sport in America.

Makes me wonder what happened last time.....

I seem to recall an accident involving a window and a nasty arm injury? Just testing my memory here (and potentially proving I spend far too much time frequenting this place)! Be careful Gav! Didn't realise just WATCHING sport on TV can be a full-contact sport in itself in some parts of the world!

:D

My home country, Ecuador, has made it the furthest ever in its history - to the 2nd round!

I was very impressed with Ecuador's play - those 2 guys up front are great together.

Everyone's hopes were high for the U.S. but I knew there was no way in h3ll they would get out of that group alive...no chance...but then again, Ghana is moving up. Good for them, even though that penalty was questionable in my book when they played the U.S.

Sorry to say it, but I don't see anyone beating Brazil...
While I agree the penalty was questionable, Ghana outplayed us virtually the entire game.

The penalty was questionable yes, but if the US tied, they still would have lost, so unless the US scored another goal and ended up tieing 2-2, it doesnt really matter.

It may be true that the match would of ended in a tie, but that penalty goal was a huge blow to the US team's hopes going into the half. All of a sudden they needed two goals to move on and against a fairly decent team like Ghana-that's a pretty big Mt. to climb. I don't think the US deserved to win, but the offical played too big a part in Ghana's win.

Perhaps US soccer wouldn't have taken a huge step forward with a win, but I think they took a couple steps back with their poor showing in the cup.

So what happens when teams tie in 2nd round? Argentina was just robbed with an offsides goal giving Mexico the tie!
