OT: You Irish folk....

So, a friend over on the other side of the forums told me of some good Irish folk on this side. So for you guys I have a question. My beautiful lady and I will be getting married next fall and we've determined that we want to head to Ireland for our honey moon! One place neither of us have been. What I need to know is some tips and tricks to the country. Where to go, where not to go, where to find a good pint. Y'know, the essentials. If anyone would care to post or PM me and let me know I would greatly appreciate it! And if this is a bit too OT please feel free to remove! Thanks a lot guys!

Great choice for your honeymoon lol! Im your man for all things Irish along with Dr Kev of course.

Im from Corkcity which is the furthest southern county in Ireland. Us folk from cork have a bit of a complex as for generations we have claimed to be the real capital of Ireland instead of Dublin.Let me know what know what kind of places you interested in. Cork is the biggest county in Ireland and has some fantastic towns and villages along the coast with great scenery.All along the west coast generally there are some great places to visit.
Any other questions then shout away and il do my best to give you some advice.

P.S You can get the best pint in cork !!!

Who said i was talking about Guinness???There two other famous stouts which are nicer than guinness in my opinion and are made from more natural ingredients. Beamish and Murphys stouts are brewed here in cork which you can also get in some countries around the globe.

A pint is something I will be definitely craving after a long flight. We will be flying into Dublin as the airfare is significantly cheaper. One thing she and I are looking for is some older castles. Castle Kilkenny is on our list. Of course we will have PLENTY of time to do things as we will probably be there for 2 weeks. Colin, during our stay would you care to catch up for a pint? I've actually Beamish before and Guiness pales in comparison. Any good IPAs over there?

Theres plenty of old castles around Ireland alright. If you are flying into dublin and planning on renting a car to travel around then you can get around pretty quickly.You can drive from cork to dublin now on the new motor way now and it only takes about 2hrs 30mins max. You can also get the train around pretty quickly now aswell.
Check out the webpage below which should give you a good starting point. I would recommend you visiting killarney and Dingle in county kerry both great Irish towns with lots to do and see.

I would love to meet you guys but unfortunately us Irish folk dont just go for "A" pint if you get my drift.More like several until we fall down lol ha ha !!!
