i was in Steve's the other day and they have 3 MMs now

i asked the guy who sold me mine about it and he said that they got them shortly after i got mine

he sais everyone who plays wm loves them but no one buiys them because people usually buy a Gibson or Fender at that price range which i find stupid


so ya if anyone is interested ( i know JimiD is lol ) go check me out

I don't understand it either , the shop I go to says Ernie Ball is the best made solid bodies they carry, this includes prs, gibson, fender and parker.

The Silohuette I have is on par with a Ibanez Jem in my opinion and it was not nearly the price.


It is that whole label syndrome, most people will pay more money for a guitar of less quality just to have a "name" on the headstock.

As long as they are able to keep selling all those basses, strings, and pedals to keep the company healthy, it's kind of better for us that Music Mans are so underated compared to those nasty Gibsons. There's more for us that way.

Really though, it is kind of nice to almost know a secret. One of my students has a custom shop tele(marilyn manson's guitarist's model). The other day I was like... ok, now play this one. When his volume knobs are turned down the thing hums terribley. He has no piezo, no amazing MM neck and it still cost more than my JPM7 and it still doesn't touch it in playability. It sounds good but not better. Just different really.

As long as they keep insisting on the overhyped, we have super guitars that aren't cliche.

it's really funny in vancouver not to many guitarists I know know about MM guitars except all the really good players I know.
It seems MM guitars are a guitarist's guitar if you know what I mean.
Lot's of guitar shops only a couple stock MM and no-one has any axis. I only found one shop that had any MM guitars although several carried basses.
IMHO Fenders are over rated and inconsistant. Some American strats I have played are pretty crappy finished yet I have seen and played some pretty good Mexican models (go figure)
Even though I must admit I own a couple of fenders that I had to search for.
GIbsons I find are over priced for what you get and over rated.
Much like fender.
My Luthier sold his Les Pauls and bought a epiphone LP and only had to install new pots. Sounds like a regular LP and if it wasn't for the label it looks and feels like a LP. cost was 1/2 that of a cheap LP.

if i remember correctly they have a silhouette (sp?) i forget which kind though they have a Steve Morse

and some left handed one maybe an Axis i'm not sure

but ya it's funny because at my school some guy i know who has a ****ty Squire guitar insists his is better because it is " related " to Fender and he's never heared of a Music Man

i dont really get into arguments with the guy he's just starting out but still i can't help but laugh

I remember I had to order my sil from the store, they did not have any in stock. When it came in, the manager asked the salesman why they did not have more EBMMs in stock. The salesman replied because the staff bought them all up before they made the showroom floor.

that should tell you something, the staff at the guitar stores who have their choice of guitars - were snapping up the EBMMs
