Sweet! Please post pics when you get a chance -- there seems to be much variety in the body grain on these basses. That first time opening the case is pretty breathtaking.

Steve, I just wanted to let you know it's here and safe in my hands. Also want to thank you for the extras in the case, I really appreciate it. Unless I come across something I can't pass up, all my purchases will go through you from now on. BP you were all correct it is a great day! The 30th really is better looking in person than in pics, probably because the red is so hard to photograph. Steve's pics are the best I've seen and a very good representation of the color. First impression of the sound would be "Massive." The first thought I had was the band Tool, I know Justin plays a Wal but this Stingray just nailed his tone out of the box. I did have to adjust my amps lows quite a bit but that was to be expected. That's all for now, I will get some pics up at some point but I've got band practice tonight and a gig Saturday so I've got to get down to buisness with this thing.:D Thanks again to you Steve, BP, and whoever else had their hands on this one at the factory.

Tool?

I tried iTunes but no joy. What is this band? What style music do they play?

Congrats on the new bass. Stunning, isn't it.

I didn't know Tool wasn't on iTunes. Anyway, here is the link to there official website. http://www.toolband.com/ One of the best metal bands IMHO.

I saw Tool back in their club days down in San Diego (Opiate Tour; around '91-92)...stood right up front on Justin's side.

That is one intense band! Tight, too!

I don't think Justin was in the band during that period of the band-Paul was on Opiate and Undertow. Justin's first album with Tool was AEinema(sp). I love Tool, they are one of the few "heavy" bands I still listen to. Justin is a great bassist and always seems to play the right thing.
