Thanks for all the comments. I LOVE the JP. Thanks to EBMM, GC and Dubaldo Music for being enablers! I get all kinds of inquiries at gigs about them and talk em up as much as possible.

The koa is punchier than all the others. Has kind of a spike in the upper mids. But smooth

I've never understood that reference, "punchier". Is it like.. more heavy(/crunchy) sound? Like more alert and more clear? Whereas the BFR is more deep and a little more "muddy"?

This is subjective of course, but I hear it as more in your face and out front, clearer and cutting. So it's not that the BFRs are muddy, this is just different and very apparent when going back and forth to me between JP models.

Beautiful. Although, I wish EBMM would leave the Koa a natural instead of the stain. One of the reasons I love koa is for its natural look. Staining it doesn't work for me.
