What are you suggesting? That was so unexpected that I laughed out loud.

Girls, I think the music schedule looks like:

1. Knucklehead Jam - just what it sounds like. Soon enough, the boys will start PMing and emailing each other with "Do you know the words to Radar Love?" and "Who's going to play bass for me?" and so on. Poor John Ferraro will play drums to all kinds of things, much like his days with Barry Manilow. (Biff: my drummer Andy will be there, too, in case John needs a break!)

This first period, which if there were a God would only last about twelve minutes, is liable to drag on way past its natural lifespan, especially if Steve Barr does any spoken-word performance pieces ala Charles Bukowski.

It is during this timeframe that you, our Forum Womenfolk, should plan something cool. John Ferraro can play anything, this much I surely know. Lead guitarists will also be like cockroaches, thick and squirming on the ground. Think about what you want to do and kick some ass, eh?

2. Cowpilot's Blitzkrieg Set. This will be relatively short and to the point, I would think, as by this point I will have been drinking with BP during the Knucklehead Jam and won't remember the words to anything.

3. Modified For Texas Biff Baby's All Stars. Not sure who will be available for this serious wankage...but previous incarnations have included Albert Lee, Steve Morse, Steve Lukather, Cliff Hugo, Mister Greenjeans and Kurt Vonnegut.

So figure out what you want to do and make it happen. Keep in mind you're amongst friends and all we want to do is be in the same room, so no pressure.

No need to worry or get all performance-anxiety ridden or anything.

Oh, while I'm thinking about it, should you need to choose a guitarist, BP himself plays some mean six-string, as does the hard-to-locate Dudley and the I-Hope-He's-Gonna-Be-There Jon Smith aka juan guitarrez. Lots of company guys to choose from....including the crack EBMM Legal Team, now that I think about it.

Anyway, lots of time to think about what you want to wear and so on.

xoxoxo

Nope, I'm just gonna sit down and shut up this time round. The good news is that there won't be any even drunker guys at my table yelling "Lucky Sp#rm" this time either.

Steebo, you keep missing really good opportunities for your public debut as Steve Barr, bassist supremo!

Can you root-five like a mofo? That's about all I do in Cowpilot. What say you? "Ring of Fire" in C?

mmm i feel overly confident already

I know, I know, but then there's ME.

Glad to hear Mr. John Ferraro will be on drums again--that's awesome

It surely is, Janice. Sometimes when I'm feeling like a hack, which is most of the time, I remember finishing up some blues thing with BP and Tommy and John said something very complimentary to me which I will not repeat here because I don't think it was actually true.....but it still makes me feel all warm when I think about it.

Truly one of the Good Guys, that John is.
