I want to paint a custom image on a black pickguard for my SR5. Basically, what are the best paints and methods to do this? I plan on painting a fairly complex design, so things like spraypaint aren't exactly on the menu.

I don't know nothing about painting... but one tip: get your pickguard off first...

hey, incase u care, if u have some mad skillz with an air brush, but u havea low budget, i'm sure u can pick up cheap air brushes that connect to a small air pump, and electric one. my brother picked up 2 air brushes, nice ones might i add, for 5 buck and 17 bucks a pop at teh swap meet at hot august nights ( big car show in reno). so cheap air brushes are around.

u'd definatly want to clean it well, maybe with alchohol, then possibly add a coat of primer, so it lasts long.

P.S. incase u car, the brand is American Forge but i'm not sure if they are around, or big, or anything at all. Just a thought, but again, there are cheap air brushes around.

Good luck. :D hope it helps.:p
