does anyone know were i can get my guitar body painted thats relativley close to ilinois. and does any one a stingray 5 bass birdge they wanna sell me or know were i could get one.

i was thinkin this at one point
i suggest a body shop
talk to them
and if u want a bridge to paint
paint dosnt stick to chrome
but
there is a way to strip the chrome leaving u with raw metal to powder coat any color u want

i dont wanna paint the bridge i just wanna a music man bridge bcuz i have an olp and i want to upgrade

I work in a body shop. I built a bass and used auto paint on it. It turned out great! Will try to post a photo this evening.

that dint turn out half bad is it all smooth and shiny up close. do u think it wood work as good with a black color did u prime it or anything howd u do it i tried spray painting a guitar one but it just turned out really bad

And last but not least:
I started with one of those cheap kits, put on a Leo Quan bridge, SD Basslines Quarter Pounders, a custom pearl p/g, custom knobs and painted it '03 Acura RSX blue (I work in an Acura dealership body shop). The decal on the head is under the clear coat. It is a two stage paint job in urethane that was wet sanded and buffed when finished.

The body came to me sanded and sealed. It was then primered and painted. Black should work just as good. You can see some imperfections in the wood on the back.
