I never gave it much thought till this thread & I’m guessing I’ve had about 25 guitars over my 30 years of playing.

I'm having my 3 Balls shipped to Dizzy. :D

LMFAO - now THAT's a classic.

I've allocated all of mine in a will, all to my kids - except for the NOS EVH to a long-time school friend and fellow EBMM fan.

He was a keen EBMM EVH collector (including an awesome hardtail) - until he played my JP's.
He's just received his first JP and the EVH's get no play time.
I might have to rethink !

I'll see what happens with the boys - But I'd like to think they'll play.

My 16 year-old daughter has already made the assumption that she'll get all my guitars. But at least I know they'll be in appreciative hands and put to good use. If my other two daughters show an interest in guitar, Bec will have a fight on her hands!

Hmmm....perhaps I need to make sure I have at least THREE of each model that I like so my collection can be divided equally. Maybe I could use this as an excuse to persuade the wife I "need* another Luke (and three ALs, and three silos, and three Reflexes, and three Y2Ds, and three...)

have not realy thought about this subject, maybe i should ince I am turning the big 50 soon.

Great something else to think about, i have a hard enough time turning my brain off as it is:D

What are you talking about Fing??? You will probably have sold them all way before your time comes... many of us in the forum will have bought one, two or ten of Fing's beauties and on that very sad day maybe we can all take part global recording of George Harrison's "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" (Using Fing's former Balls of course)... or something like that... Haha

Didn't you mention that one of your boys might be a lefty? :D

Yeah, but he's throwing righty now, so it looks as though we've avoided disaster.

Even if he WAS a lefty I'd make sure he plays righty.

Any pissing and moaning would be met with a swift back-hand, accompanied by
"Shutup and hold it properly you little dullard ! "

:D

I have two sons and one plays and the other does not. The little guy that plays acts as if they are all his as it is now.lol But at 48 (To be honest I never thought I would make it out of my 20s)I have thought about the same thing and told them that they would just split them, and they have already made dibs on certain axes.lol

I was surprised that my oldest son who does not play but has mad vocal skills seemed more bent on picking what I would call my favorite players as opposed to the little guy going for the most expensive. But it made me feel good that he wanted them. So just because your son does not play I would believe he would still like to have a part of you that he knew you loved. Besides what if he has two sons and they play they will be hearing stories about Gandpa's amazing axes and wondering why they are not there.

I am find with leaving something to a close friend or donateing if you wish but cover your son as I believe it will payoff. Now as far as wives I have seen more guys on ebay selling some amazing guitar for the poor widow. I am in the no guitars for wives club.lol
