So if you've placed an order or are going to place one, what did you get, and why that particular model?

If you are choosing to pass, what would you have ordered in an ideal world with the fruit ofyour personal money tree in the backyard?

Still mulling it over. Right now I'm thinking Bongo 5HS but I want to see if there's an HSp available.

Passing this time. Given my collection of Music Man basses - and collection in general, and the fact that I have another one elsewhere incoming this summer - I think I've pretty much secured every instrument I've ever been interested in owning. (I just sold one of my two older SR5's.)

I suppose that if I had anything to do with the PDN thing, I'd have MM offer its very first neck-through-body basses made of exotic woods so that they look like fine living room furniture. :)

Kevin, I'm pretty certain you'll be able to do the HSp. That be the Swiss army knife of Mabongoney goodness!

Bongo 6 H

Why ask why. You know why.

The Finish
The Neck
The Frets are new...hell, I've NEVER had to re-fret a bass, But I bet the Stainless Steels add some ping.

And a chance to own a one of a kind thang.

This is just insane for bongo lovers

Bongo 5Hp Unlined Fretless

Why...well, ever since I got my Bongo 5H I've just fallen in love with the tone of it and I always figured that tone would be fantastic for a fretless. Adding the piezo will just give me another tone option and seems like a no-brainer for a fretless. Plus, with the 4-band EQ it will add a little variation over what I have now.

Why else...it's a Mahogany Bongo. What more needs to be said!! I also like the idea of having a real classic look for a fretless - with a beautiful translucent finish that shows the wood-grain. That combined with the oiled/waxed roasted neck. Wow!! This bass could be an heirloom.

I'm going with unlined largely because I love the look of it and I'm also going on faith that I can pick it up and rely on the side dots to guide me - which seems like a reasonable assumption since that is normally how it goes. Anyway...half the time I'm not even watching what I'm doing and just playing by feel (as I imagine is the case with most people who've been playing for a while). With my recent experience of borrowing a friends fretless I was surprised to find that it wasn't hard to adapt at all. So, I'm jumping in with both feet.

This is going to be awesome!! :)

I don't have anything on the radar as I already have too many basses and anything I'd ever need. But, I'm always keeping my eye open for a light weight all white (maple, white pickup and pickguard, no matching headstock) SR5 H. A "Smurf" trans blue SR5 would also be hard to resist too.

I'm going to put up a guitar for sale to fund it. I can't see passing on a Bongo 5HH or HS with these specs. I wish it would have dots instead of the regular inlays but that wouldn't slow me down if I make the vig.

I'm in the process of completing my new lightweight neodymium D-Class rig!
112 Combo is already at home, now I'm waiting for a 115 external cab from the same brand (stack series), which is on order!
I'll keep it "classified" until I complete that rig, hope You guys don't mind?

I think, after Summer Holidays, in Autumn will be the right timing for me to order a 5 string small EQ single H Bongo!

Welll .... the dream ax is an SR4Hp FL blank plank, with
clear gloss over the hog body and no PG holes [is that
last touch allowed ?].

... but I just bought a Steinberger 5-string upright with
mag+piezo systems ... kinda pricey :-/

If I had the money, which I don't.. Or a need for another bass, which I really don't... It would be another big al 4 SSS . I'd love to see one, but this particular ltd isn't really to my taste. I prefer loud over Classy. As far as looks are concerned.

Game Changer. I love both my Bongo 4's and I really dig the hog, but I gotta go GC. I've had bad GAS for the GC for a while now.

I'm considering a bongo 4H, it would be oh so nice to have 2 roasted necks in the stable. Or should I go 4HS?. Or skip the Bongo altogether and get a roasted Al. hmmmm decisions. I know BP, Jack, and others sing the praises of the single H. decisions, decisions.
