Hey guys,

I didn't get to get an order in. Do you think any of the dealers ordered an extra or two for store inventory?inventory

Ummm, in a word.......YES!!!! I can't wait to see some factory pics of those beautiful roasted necks and mahogany bodies.

Someone from inside PLEASE have mercy on us!!

This is my first factory order and I'm like a little kid. I don't know how you guys who've done this before deal with the suspense....especially those who ordered the GC basses/guitars. The wait must have been unbearable.

While pretty crude I find this helps, I made a screen saver out of the flyer, which will have to work until production ramps up enough for some real pics to get posted.

Only 3-4 months to go. :D
I have my new 5HS to get me through the time so all is good here.
Some factory pics would be cool.

What I'm most interested in right now is what kind of pick-guard the Bongos will have.
I don't remember anybody specifying that feature.

Here is a copy of a post from the guitar side with a pic of a JP. Enjoy. JOSH

yes, i´ve tried it and liked the feel of the unfinished roasted neck.
i asked the guys about a Y2D, but they told me, that there will no Y2D with this option. :(

here is a picture of the JP6:

I was told they are 3 ply Black only, I ordered a Tort guard separately as I couldn't substitute the stock guard. I would think any model ( bass or guitar ) with a guard will get the same Black guard. This finish is going to look good with a bunch of different guards, which I'm personally a fan of doing. I can see a a Vintage Pearl on it as well.

+100 on the vintage pearl idea. the Big Al PG covers such a large area, it pays to have a large contrast between the body and PG.

Sweet. Thanks for the pics Josh!! It's great to see a picture of the Honeyburst finish over the Mahogany grain. I don't venture over to the guitar side much so I missed that post.

I ordered a Tort guard to go with my Bongo but it was a toss-up between that and Vintage White Pearl. Like Laneline said, there are a lot of PG options for Honeyburst that would work well. It'll be great to see everyone's pictures when the basses start rolling in.

If there are, I hope he tortures us with Bongo shots. I'll even volunteer mine being made. It's the only 4 HHp that was ordered.

That's a torture I'd be willing to endure.

Do we have any updates for possible completion?

This thread was in danger of falling of the front page, so....

I went and put a deposit down on a PDN Bongo 4HH!

I'd also like to take a quick moment to comment on the PDN, these retailers really do deserve to be called Premier. While i wasnt able to go with my first choice, it wasn't for a lack of trying on their part. Thanks for your efforts to help me out, you know who you are. :)
