Hi, the Steve Morse standard with maple fretboard should be available through your dealer. I ordered one this week. They weren't available at the announcement of the Neptune Blue run, but became available later on.

Maybe you can still change your order today??

Similar problems for me LamHo. I visited my nearest Premier Dealer yesterday (two and a half hour drive) and was told by both the store owner and the distributor that I couldn't have a maple fretboard on a Luke II and also I would have to pay an additional amount to have a roasted maple neck as well as the Neptune Blue finish. This is my first new Music Man purchase and a big investment. It is the case that only specific options are available in certain countries, I can have a Silhouette Special with a maple board, surely it's just a case of a different CNC program to make me a Luke neck. The top face of the neck has to be removed in order to fit either a maple or rosewood board.
The dealer was great but I'm disappointed with the distributor, I was asked "Are you some kind of Music Man expert or something?". No, (isn't it your job as a distributor to be an expert) just someone who has researched what he wants before he spends two months salary. As I'm left handed I'm more likely to win the lottery than to see a lefty PDN Luke in a store.

Hopefully Monday will bring a call from the distributor/dealer as the deadline for orders is the 9th in the United Kingdom. Rant over and out.

Sorry if this has been addressed earlier. According to the link below, maple is offered on the Lukes. Am I misunderstanding something?

Maybe I'm not familiar with what's available and what isn't , but the Luke II is most certainly available with an all roasted maple neck and board. I ordered a BFR for myself in a Luke and ordered the all roasted maple neck/board.

I am in the UK and am expecting delivery of a maple neck and fingerboard (roasted birdseye) Luke 2, ask your local store to contact Strings and Things UK and they will make it happen for you. :)

Unfortunately it was Strings and Things who told me I couldn't have a Luke II with an all roasted maple neck and also said that the roasted neck would be an additional cost on top of the Neptune Bliue. It wasn't Rob that I spoke to whilst I was at the dealers. Time to call them again.

That's weird! I usually speak with Alex, he has been absolutely fantastic, I cannot express how pleased I feel with how Alex has looked after me, he rocks!

I have a feeling there will surely be a couple of LII's available when these roll out. You can still get one then. An Albert Lee BFR is gonna be more difficult to find...

Yeah, the BFR AL would have been awesome, but with a 9 month old it was just too much cash and I do love the regular BFR Al as well. I'm sure something will work out... EBMM always has something up their sleeve...
