PDN Neptune Blue Silhouette

Hi all,

I've just sold my L3, sadly as much as it's an amazing guitar to play I was struggling to get on with the sound, it's was just a little to dark for me and unfortunately the 25th anniversary is more my style.

I'm now looking for a HSS guitar and now that I'm fully hooked on Musicman necks and guitars I'm considering the PDN Silhouette but I'm wondering how the mohoghany body, roasted neck and rosewood finger board compare to the standard Silo? Does anyone have any experience that good enlighten me?

Difficult to use words to explain the sonic differences between two guitars that are indeed VERY similar...
MAIN DIFFERENCE is obviously the colour.

But if I have to compare my AL PDN (mahogany) and my AL BFR (ash with mahogany tone bock) , I'd say that the pdn is less snappy, more compact and a litlle less defined.

That beeing said, I'd have a hard time chosing the one I prefer. Both are fantastic.

The PDN will sound slightly deeper with more resonance due to the mahogany body. If you prefer a crisper, snappier sound, then stay away from the PDN.

The roasted maple neck and fretboard are amazing... And I typically prefer a rosewood fingerboard.
