I wonder... On PDN runs do you get more highly figured woods if you order early, or is it completely random?

I believe it's completely random, luck of the draw. I've bought two, a Big Al from the black sugar/roasted neck run in 2010, and a neptune blue Bongo in 2014. The Big Al had an incredible figured neck:

The Bongo neck is nice, but not in the same league.

That said, I should note that I sold the Big Al but still own the Bongo. Figuring ain't everything.

Completely random. Some just have more figuring than others.

I am complete with you, muggsy. My all time favourites are two SR 5, one with only some "eyes" on the neck with rosewood fingerboard, and a nearly plain white AMN.

OK, no PDN - Basses in my stable. But a beautifull flamed all maple neck on my SR 5 - Classic, and a all rosewood neck on my Bongo 5 HH, also no PDN.

Maybe because there are only few in Germany. I would love to have a Neptune Blue Bongo 5 HH / HS with roasted neck. Not realy easy here.

A.J. - I have a question about the Tobacco Burst PDN 2015: does it also have stainless steel frets?
