I have just built up enough funds to finally buy myself the PDN SR4 Gilded White !!!! I've been watching some of you guys how've brought one of these as they were released talking about them and been into a couple of retailers here in Melbourne Victoria and played a few myself and just love them.
I Love my Classic SR5 for everything from the neck shape/gloss finish, frets, slab body, thru body strings, mutes and 2 tone EQ (tho it took me near 12 months to learn the true workings of the 2 band EQ (both Treble & Bass-cut and boost without centre indent)).
The Gilded has all the above plus goes Massive ....... I mean Passive
......... with a passive tone control !!!!! This means to me that I can set up a old school passive tone (Motown/Stax/Muted) and with the push on the tone control have a contemporary tone. This is an awesome thing for me as I never know what I'm going to be playing some times until I get to the gig.
I'll be sure to post a picture or 2 if I can work out how to do it.
