PDN Tone query. . . Mahog with Maple, or just plain Mahog?

I don't think I've ever played a bolt on mahog without a maple top, so I'm just curious what other players out there think a comparison of the BFR JP and the regular PDN version will produce outside of the aesthetics. Just trying to square myself away for an order, and I keep flip flopping on which one I really need (want!). We all know how GAS is. . .

If you order a BFR Jp PDN style it will still have a maple cap.
