PEAVEY Power amps used for bass rig

Does anyone have any experience with a peavey power amp used in a bass set up?
Im using a PV 2000 Peavey PV 2000-220V 220V 700W @4ohm Amp / Audio / Peavey / Amplifiers - Peavey - Zalmar.com

with a tech 21 sans amp rbi. and im running it through an ampeg 8x10.

At times it sounds a bit muddy and overal just not that great.

Has anyone else used a set up like this that could get me some advice?
I have a few questions

I have a QSC poweramp that I run with the Sansamp. I don't think it's your Peavey that's causing the muddy sound. You need to adjust the preamp settings on the Samsamp. There are many bass players that use the poweramp/preamp setup for their bass rig.

I used to run a PV1500 with a Bass POD on the front end and it sounded great.

Or the input gain on the Peavey. I remember reading somewhere that the Sansamp signal can sometimes not be a good match with some power amps.

This thing sounds surprisingly good, but no one really wants to use it when they come over.

I used a PV 1500 (early 90's) with a fender preamp for about 3 years in a top 40 cover band. always clear, plenty of power (running 2 peavey 8x10's).
I sold it to the singer in the band when I bought a Mesa Basis M-2000 and a 2x15 setup. A lot easier to carry around than the 8x10's.
So in short, great power amps. The only one I liked better at the time was the one space digital power amp. I didn't have the cash for one when I bought the PV series amp.
