Off Topic Pedalboards

First I'd like to say that I'm sorry for all of the "off topic" threads I start. But I have really been impressed with how much knowledge this board has. I guess Music Man Guitars appeal to very professional and intelligent guitarists.

I've really liked the Gator line of pedal boards. 16" x 30". Mine came with a power supply, enough to power 8 9V pedals, and one 18 volt pedal. Also has room for an extra power supply.

I really love the Pedal Pad pedalboards. They have a whole compartment on hinges underneath the pedal surface to put the cables and power supplies. I actually keep a rack mount distortion unit under there.

Me too. Though I have an old one ... had to mill it myself to fit the damn thing underneath. Also put an Axess buffer under there.

Chorus, Delay, Verb and VP are in the FX loop. It's in parallel, so I use the VP to blend them in as needed. Pedalsnake to the amp, so I only have 1 cable to worry about.

Is the Voodoo Labs power brick the only power supply that will fit the Pedaltrain???

+1 on the Pedaltrain. I bought one of the early ones when they first came out. Used it for years, very sturdy and came with a very good flightcase I used a Visual sound 'One spot' to powe mine. Didn't take up any pedalboard space and powered all my stompboxes without any trouble . Only stopped using it when I needed a board to take my G System.

Pedal train here as well....This is the pt 2 with Soft case ...I have the PT PRO with Hardroadcase on the way.....reason ......whenever i go to the gig with the BAG ....all my settings are changed because the board slides around .....with the hard case , things stay put ...plus i wanted more real estate...im a bit of a freak with Effects hahahah

So, after years of searching, i found the lightest and ultimate pedalboard for me. Check out LyT Pedalboards: The Lytest Boards on Planet Earth - Lyt Pedalboards

These guys are USA based and the set up is brilliant! The board is very light but strong and I love the "upper" deck. It's exactly what I wanted.

Wow, just checked out that link and those look like a steal for the price. if I was in the market for a board I'd probably give them a try.

pedaltrain for me too. the Voodoo Labs PP2+ is simply the best sounding and most important piece of gear in my set up, and the new Pedaltrains have brackets and holes built just for them.

I've used one for over a year, finally talked my other guitarist into getting one- he insists its the best purchase he's made in years. I agree with him- the thing is solid and so pro.

Invest in a Pedaltrain and a VooDoo Labs PP2+ - you won't regret it!

I decided to finally put a pedalboard together, and I did indeed end up going with Lyt. I'm glad I did, they had great CS and the product was actually better than I expected based on the photos on the website. Just got everything setup this morning, here's what it looks like:

I am all about the Gator Pedal Tote Pro:

This is an old pic, and now the board has a Boss Pedal tuner on it - the Line 6 one takes too long to kick in.

The PTP comes with a gig bag that's pretty sturdy. I used to have a pedal train board:

It was a nice board, and the case it came with was pretty tough! Mind you it got quite heavy! (you can just about see the case in the pic below)

When I sold that piece of junk Engl I had, the pedal train was sold to try and re-cover some of the costs of the money wasted on the Engl.
