I prefer the simplicity of pedals but I do like the flexibility of rack systems... just not too keen on programming them with a footcontroller and all that.

I'd like to get a TC G-System. It seems like it's a happy medium between the two.

Indeed it is, though it has its complexities as well. Out of the box it is not ready to roll like some others. PM me for some pointers if you decide to go with it.

IMHO certain things are better left to pedals (overdrive, distortions, wahs, simple delays, volume pedals, etc). Other things are better off in a rack: stereo delays, EQs, and stuff like that

David Grissom said it best, A $1,500.00 pedal board is less of a headache then a $5,000 rack especially when something goes wrong

Certainly but its gonna control wet/dry signal, volume control through my looper so i need to know if thats an active signal or passive never had obvious answer.

EB Volume is a passive volume pedal. Even the volume for active circuits is a passive pedal, just has a different value pot to work better with active pickups. It might work, but it sounds like you're looking for something more like an Expression pedal....that's what I would use to control parameters like that.

What looper are you using? Have you checked the manual/website for that product to see what they say you should use?

I just realized you may be literally using a volume pedal in one of the loops to control your wet/dry signal. PM me with what you're trying to do and I'll help if you want...

I gave one a go for a while in a local shop and I found it quite intuitive. I'm a long ways off from getting one, though. :(

B2D was there, so I'm sure he knows what I'm talking about, in reference to BK and Sick.

Morses uses two different Volume pedals between his two ENGL's to adjust the amount of Delay (wet signal) gets mixed in with his tone. It acts like an expression pedal in that respect.

But he uses two VP's, each programmed with two different BOSS DD-3's at long delay, and a shorty delay, on a 2xamp Wet/Dry setup.
