Here's what I found waiting outside my apartment door.

The steps in the evolution: JP6, 20th Anniversary Silhouette, and the BFR JP6.

Hmm....I left a post before, but it didn't show up. Rob, that thing is sweet. I would've passed out once I opened the case if that baby was mine. Looks like it'll go great with the 20th.

Smashing Rob, simply amazing. Congrats on the BFR. Can't wait to hear a detailed report comparing all of them.

Rob. it's outstanding guitar! I don't know why, but almost every time I see that color I think it's the more distinctive and royal if I can say so. Definitely I'm starting to looking for a BFR to check it out!

best,
Mike

Phil, when I opened the case, I was just shocked. "Whoa!" I exclaimed.

Thanks again, guys. Unfortunately, I couldn't get you a better picture, because it was night by the time I got home.

So far, the thing to be said about the guitar is that it seems to have more clarity than my JP6. It seems to have more of that "violin" tone for leads too. I never really got to turn it up to really be able to tell much more than that as it was after 9pm. The piezo is sweet. kneeoh was there to see the guitar last night, and he felt that the piezo sound was better on this guitar than on the JP6s that he's got.

As far as the construction of the guitar is concerned. It feels a hell of a lot more solid than the regular JP6. Impeccable workmanship.

The 9s? Hey...they're sweet. I have been using 10s, but man, it feels really nice with the 9s.

Adjustments: Well, all I did was take out some relief from the neck to get the action down a little bit. I fooled with the piezo trim pots. I tightened up the trem arm. The guitar was very nearly in tune when it got to me.

It will be even greater when I go home today after work. Didn't get to turn it up or play it very much last night. I should have more opportunity to do both this weekend.
