My wife and I own three antique stores, point is, in keeping up with the market on various items we have found prices have been dropping drastically for the past months especially past 60 days. Could be the reason, another is the right person didn't turn their computer on while you had it up for auction. It has happened to me before.

Well my first spector cost £180 to bring in(the bastard seller inflated the shipping price), but my second one cost £90.That's about the normal amount, depnds on the price you buy it for though, so much over $550 is gonna cost you over £100 to bring into the country.

If I were to ship to the UK. I'd prolly do UPS. I'll start the bidding at an arm...arm arm, do I have a leg, leg, I have a leg. looking for a first born, first, born, sold...

Heh. I'll look into what I can do. I have one person interested in purchasing outright. I'll see what comes out.

Just a thought, and correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't you go on in another thread about how you got this bass for under $600? I don't have any empirical data to back this up, but I'd imagine a lot of the buyers of basses on eBay also keep up with what's going on in the bass forums. I know I do. It's possible potential bidders were turned off by the fact that you were trying to make what I consider to be a huge profit off this deal. Just a thought.

You want to buy Cuba?

Well however much I make is out of my hands now. I took the reserve off it and started it at how much I paid for it. I don't see any difference from when a dealer gets a good deal on a used piece of equipment and marks up the price. Its just business. I doubt that many eBayer's look on this forum, anyways.

Nick2 - It's the thing with some Americans and their extensive knowledge of European countries. Doesn't effect all of them.

It's the "My gawd, you live in England! I have a friend in Rome, called Mario, did you ever come across him? - You must have!"

JubJub, Tens of Thousands have fought and lost their lives over the centuries regarding the question of whether Dublin is in the UK. As things stand in the 21st Century, Dublin is the Captial City of the Republic of Ireland, which is an independent, free member state of the European Union. Not everyone in the UK is in a mad rush to go to Dublin, for some there is still too much bad blood during the last 30 years, to yet see the Irish as their best friend, next door neighbours, who we must ask round for a drink and a chat and pop over to them every year for our holidays.

Having been born in the UK of Irish parents, I can see both sides views. This isn't a lecture or a geograpghy lesson, just don't expect everyone to get excited about your love of Dublin posts, it might (not saying it is!) be a little sensitive.
