Even Mother Nature couldn't help but appreciate the beauty of this Silo...

I'm not 100% sold on the Virtual PAFs yet and will probably be putting in a 500k volume pot, but she's a GREAT player and really very loud and resonant. The EBMM vintage bridge is brilliant.

It's a great companion to the Lava Morse...

Thanks for looking!

Very nice! That's a very nice pair of Balls! If you want a really nice fat but clear tone out of the bridge, I HIGHLY recommend the DiMarzio Air Zone. I have that in my Silo Special and it's a brilliant pickup. Kind of similar to Andy Timmons tone but also close to Tone Zone...just not so powerful and its more versatile.

Thanks!

I had an Air Zone in a Warmoth build I'd done years ago and loved it.

I was originally thinking of putting Duncans in there, but perhaps the Air Zone is just the ticket.

You kind of had me at "Andy Timmons"...

I mean you can also go directly for his pickup the AT-1...I hear great things about it, and of course his tone is just sick.

Cool pics, cool guitar. I actually like the stock HB in my HSS Silo. Extremely versatile, especially with the installed coiltap. That Morse just keeps looking better and better the more I see it btw :)

Yea, but you most likely have a PAF Pro? Yours is a 93 model, so the virtual vintage would not be available then. Unless you have another one not in your sig haha.

Peter, you looking to replace the Silo with something else? It is a great ax, but honestly the 20th Silo is just unbelievable , so I dont blame you for letting that one go. I let go of my first EBMM which was also a Silhouette in vintage sunburst...I'm not looking back.

Hehehe, no, it's the only one unfortunately. Friend of mine has it's twin (maple board to my rosewood) that I will take from him one way or another some day ;). But you're right, it's a PAF Pro, not the virtual! Really like that pickup as I said though, don't know the virtual so I can't compare it.

i bought the standard to be a practice guitar so i didnt play thought my 20th and give me an option for more tones... but i've found that i play my 20th and probably only played the standard a few times so it was just sitting there... i'd take it with me as a back up but it just hung on the stand and looked good... LOL
i played a Luke the other day and couldn't hardly put it down... but i'm forcing myself to stay with the 20th 'cause i know i'd regret selling it and hoping for a 25th silo to surface in the next year...
