The tobacco sunburst color completely rules on the Petrucci BFR. Who agrees with me that BP should offer this as a production color?

Add me to the list, but then again, there's so many colors that I'd like to see offered again. It still kills me that I missed the Dargie JP6.:(

I think it is one of the best looking finishes I've seen on a guitar, but we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

Apparently the color didn't do much for John, so dream on guys.

There should be at least 2 of them out there somewhere though. I believe when EB makes a "one-off" they actually make 2 in case something happens in the manufacturing process.

Do we know that they made another pair when they made the one for Paul Warren? Or...was that the back-up to the one that JP has?

Well, whatever. I'll go on record as saying that if BP & Co. make it, I will come. Oh, wait. That didn't come out right. Let me just say, I'll be very interested in that color.

Is Tobacco burst different from Tobacco sunburst? I saw a pic recently of John's tobacco burst and it's darker than the guitar in this thread, as is mine. Is it just the photography?

The pictured guitar is a JP one-off that was done on the original body shape with the 20th Silo wood combo, pups and Caramel Burst color scheme. John got it at the time of his clinic at Pete's shop last year and used it during the balance of that tour.

As Fred said, he wasn't too high on the color and it didn't move into his BFR line. The current BFR color is different.

Ah ok, Caramel Burst. Because I knew John liked his Tobacco Burst. Enough to go into production, I don't know. But he definitley liked it.

But does JP have to personally like every colour the original Pet or the BFR Pet is offered in?

Has he OK'ed every single colour (and there have been many) that the JP model has been offered in so far?

Even though he may not rate it as a colour, I bet it would be popular.

I still have a Heritage Cherry Sunburst Les Paul here that I never play, but can't bear to get rid of because I love looking at the top so much!

Just saying........;):D

I think the sunburst on Paul Warrens JP is the best colour I've seen on a JP BFR to date which makes me wonder why it never made production. I can't imagine it would be JP's final decision when it comes to colour options as the Luke BFR shares the same pallette...

How did you come by it Paul?

BP any plans to extend the BFR colour lines?
