Petrucci clinic in Mich!!!

If you can go, you must. I was lucky enough to be able to fly to North Carolina last October to see John's master class and clinic at the Raleigh Music Academy. Master class in the afternoon and clinic/performance at night. It was incredible. He was great and signed a ton of stuff afterward. I got a pic with him and he signed my Pet and a bunch of other stuff.

During the master class, we all picked numbered tickets out of a hat and the ones that got called got to jam on stage with him.

He said it was the first master class he'd ever done in the states.

What an experience.

That was one amazing time! If anyone has a chance to attend a JP clinic, it's a must, you can't miss it.
I can't wait for the EBMM artist gathering at the open house, that's gonna be another can't miss-have to go no matter what event!

I'm with you on this one - I've got my tickets for the Hard Rock Live Gigantour gig on 6th August - a clinic around then would be great

Yes! That would be great. We are working on a Clinic at Express Music August 6th in Seminole FL. JP's schedule is pretty crazy with an all day Festival, but hopefully we can get him. Just waitng on his reply.

Sadly the Las Vegas will have to wait till next time. DT's sound check is right around the time we were going to hold the clinic. Of course Vinnie Moore will hold his clinic the day before this Thursday 7/21 At Pats Desert Music which should not be missed.

Hey guys, dont get all defensive about it npt being free. I didnt say it was an EBMM clinic. I said it was a JOHN PETRUCCI clinic!!! The store just happens to ne a dealer. They are also a Boogie dealer. The store owner set it up, and wants to keep the clinic limited to JP fans and the like. I was wondering weather or not to post it here since it would increase the volume of people, and some might be offended by the purchase to get in. Thats what the owner told me and thought i would be kind enough to pass it along.

I went and got a ticket for it. I tried to buy a Guitar Player mag with a JP feature in it. I asked at the counter if that would qualify. They said no. So, I figured what the heck, I'd been meaning to get the SFAM tab book. Why not buy it there, I supposed. I was going to buy it and the magazine anyway at some point. Still felt kinda shady, because I hadn't seen any word on jp.com, dt.net, etc. Hopefully, I'm not going to get stuck at work that evening.

Just thought id pass along some info i recieved a couple days ago. John Petrucci will be doing a clinic at Motor City Guitar in Waterford, MI. I believe it will be on Tuesday August 9th at 7 pm. The day before DT will play the Gigantour. The store owner told me that to get a ticket for entry, you have to purchase JP or DT related merch. I suggested that he order a bunch of the JP solo cds, and have them available for sale. Im sure he will have the usual other stuff also, tab books, DT cds, dvd, vhs stuff, etc. Hes a EBMM dealer also so he will probobly have some JP models in stock. If your located in Detroit try to make it down, should be awesome. Dave

We called our pal at Boogie and he confirmed it is a Mesa Boogie/JP clinic.

Of course it will also feature the MM/JP guitar. good for US....

Hey guys - help me out with this clinic thing. How do you all find out about these things? johnpetrucci.com? It sounds like some are arranged by music stores, others by EB, or Mesa, etc. Is there some private or master mailing list somewhere?

I'm going to Jersey for Gigantour in mid August - anything happening down there?

Hi Mike,

Our clinics are usually arranged by us and the participating dealer. When an Artist books a tour the music store will contact us and we will check the artist schedule. If everyone can do it we start the promotional campaign. This includes our website,forum, posters and even sometimes radio spots and print ads. The webmasters for JP and Steve Morse are always on top of adding the clinic info when we schedule them.

At the moment we do not have any clinics in the Jersey area. JP's schedule is tight because they go on early evening just before Megadeth. Stores usually want to start clinics around 6 or 6:30 when most working folks can attend.

Hi All,

This is my first post I picked up my ticket for the MI clinic today. There is space available for only about a hundred people (its a rather small venue) but they still had quite a few left... apparently not many people believe that this is a real event. Anyway, I hope this helps out other MI Petrucci fans.

Yeah. Small place, if you have never been there. They're going to have to do some major rearrangements of merchandise to clear out space for people. So, jump on it if you're a JP fan in the area.
