I like the sounds I get from my JP6, but as a tinkerer I find it hard to leave a guitar stock...
So just wanted to share with you what I think is a useful and pretty simple mod to the Petrucci models to get three additional sounds: bridge and neck single coils as well as outside coils parallel (Tele middle position like). I use a push/pull on my Tone pot to access the additional sounds. Here's the schematic:

The additions to the stock wiring are shown in dashed lines - basically adding a push/pull (or some other DPDT switch) and a rerouting of the coil split wires of the pickups.

Cool. I almost never use to dual hum setting on my les pauls, and would certainly use something like this more. The BFR has the tone push already, so it should just be a reroute....

Can anyone make a diagram that's easier to read? I want to try this on one of my guitars, but I don't understand the diagram. I understand the wiring diagrams from the DiMarzio and Seymour Duncan website (and similar diagrams), but I don't understand where the switch lugs are on this diagram.

Very cool. I'm planning to do a similar mod on my AL SSS's as soon as I get time....
I felt that was about the only thing missing on my JP6 & Majesty (coil splits on each bucker individually...)
I'm a big Tele fan and always miss those settings on other guitars.
Thanks for posting!!
