Thank you for saying what I suppose I didn't have the guts to. While this may not hurt the sound of the guitar, it really shouldn't look like that.

Guys, if you buy something and are disappointed you should definitely take it up with the vendor. But there's not much point in the hypothetical "what you would do" exercise. Most of these comments ("I'd be upset ...", etc.) are based on someone else's photo. And that someone hasn't really chimed in.

The nut on my black sugar Big Al looks exactly the same as the OP. Honestly, I never even noticed it until I saw this thread and looked closer. Not an issue at all for me.
