no no no! my lynch is my baby!!! lol...might not be the easiest playing guitar I've ever had my hands on, but I love the friggin' thing =D

however, I think I've become pretty enamored with 24 fretters =)

if the JP plays as good as I'm hoping it does, my lynch probably will become my drop D guitar =) but hey, I've had the thing near 10 years now, so giving it a slight respite from my endless wankage would be well deserved =)

Yeah, you're gonna love it!

I think I read somewhere that Big Poppa guarantees you'll be able to pull off all of Petrucci's licks with that thing, or your money back. That's a pretty good gaurantee! :)

Actually, the EBMM legal team was tipped off, and heard me trying to pull off some Petrucci licks, and they came and took my JP6 away! Said something about "it being for my own good" or something like that. Sheesh... ;)

Make sure, and I'll only say this once...make sure that you do some proper warm up and stretches before you play your new JP6, cause you may end up shearing your fingers right off, since it's so fast

Shreder,

Wait until you get your hands on that Pet. Before my Petrucci, my primary guitar was an Ibanez RG770...a true shredders guitar. I loved that guitar for many years. I reached many new milestones in my playing on that guitar. I vowed that nothing would ever take the place of that guitar. Then I got my Pet. Since then, the guitar has been out of it's case twice. Once to be cleaned, and once to play for about an hour because I felt an obligation to "keep in touch."

By the way, is it there yet? WE WANT PICS!!! Lot's of nice guitar porn! :)

hehe....that's good to know...never really dug the wizard necks though.even though I have small fingers, I don't like their ultra think neck...just doesn't feel comfy! I think IO'll definetly git into the pet though...can't wait to get it! =D

it's fedex ground..so it should arrive a little after I or my wife get home....don't worry..I'll take pix..lol

BTW, George Lynch does rule!

Can you play any of his stuff pretty well? It's awfully hard material! :D

it's funny..I've had more than one person come up to me and tell me I sound like him..and it's funny..cause I can't even come close on most of his stuff.....leaves me scratchin' my head every time =)

welp, looks like I have to wait till tomorrow...traqcked the package and it's in the friggin' camden dropoff center..I ain't drivin' all the way the hell there for that...

so I signed the thing and stuck it to the door...I have an overhang by the door so it won't get wet if it rains or anything..

keep your distance boys, I wouldn't want the perpetual storm cloud that ever looms over my head to get any of you wet

Sorry to hear that, man. There is nothing like looking forward to something (especially something cool like a new guitar), and then suddenly not getting that expectation met. :( I know the feeling. I thought I had a guitar stolen once, but finally the UPS guy rolls up a day late, and at 8pm to top it off! This was, of course, after I called the manufacturer swearing that it had been stolen. :D

Anyways, if it makes you feel better I was inspired by our little discussion of George so I just got done jamming over a chord vamp I laid down based on Wicked Sensation. Of course, I used my JP. :p Sorry, I'm not trying to rub it in, I promise! ;)

I can't wait for you to get it and hear your reaction! What color did you order, btw? Mine is a Mystic w/matching headstock, no peizo, dot inlays.

You'll be like a little kid at christmas tonight, in bed asleep by 8 pm, just so tomorrow will come faster ;)
