Aw too bad I was out of town! Sounds like I missed quite something!

Yup man you did, hopefully there will be another one in the future. I'm hoping to post some pictures later on tonight.

Thanks Glenn, just keep rubbing it in. :D

Not going to this when I was 15 minutes away is going to end up among my dumbest decisions, along side my Bruce Dickinson incident, but that's a whole other story.

Hello Kids

Believe it or not I had never been to Boston before....I arrived in the dark and left at daybreak....Got off the plane to a car to a video shoot to a brief meeting with Jp to watching Don Lappin....Great Great player! They actuall let me go to the bathroom and then we did our session for I guess about two hours and then we signed autographs for about 2 hours then we got to have some food..... hadnt eaten all day....good thing Im tough!

Got to meet a few knuckleheads and got to take them along with the GC boys to some pizza....
I was so impressed with this GC and its team...Wow could be best of chain. Eddie the manager runs a tight ship with a real good staff that seems happy to be there. I also was really impressed with the Berklee students....The furute of music is secure there!

I love that some Berkelee students claimed to be knuckleheads so they could get free food....They didnt think I was on th them but I love that whole college beat the system thing. One of them actually signed up and thanked me on another thread Its all so good!

Thanks to Jay, Jon, Glen, Derek Dustin and all for putting this together

I had sworn off GC for 10 years before ordering 2 JP BFR's from that store this year. I was so impressed by the way Larry in guitars treated me that I wrote a letter to his District Manager. Great store, great staff, things seemed to really have changed once they moved to that location. He let me spend hours in the high end room comparing the old JP models versus the BFR's even though they had no lefties and I was playing them upside down.

I guess I made the wrong choice in going to dinner with friends instead of the Sessions. Oh well, at least my wife keeps reminding me what a dumb choice I made.

Funny how the knucks always seem to get fed at these events, be they here at DMC, or GC, EBMM, etc...

YOU SHOULD HAVE GONE, YOUR WIFE IS RIGHT!!!!!!!!!

Proto you would have gotten free food with me too....

AAARRRRRGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! I blew it.

Honestly, I don't know what in the world got into me, and I really regret it. I love JP, I love EBMM, and I was looking forward to going and hanging out with the other knuckleheads, plus I only live 15 minutes away.

Lesson learned. I hope that the fact that you were impressed with the Boston GC bodes well for the likelihood of future EB events there.

Any chance that new JP will be available left handed?

It's all good. I was the second one to get the autographs and then left. Didn't even think of staying for a bit. It's all good though. Lesson learned.

So jealous now. Would love to get a chance to meet my hero John Petrucci. Maybe if he touched my hand it would rub some of his guitar godness off on me!!!
