Yep! That's the same one I spotted at the NAMM show. I'm not up on all the EB color titles but that AL immediately caught my eye. It was piezo equipped if memory serves me correctly. Wish I had a camera because it was beautiful and played great. Don't remember seeing it later in the week though.

Moments later I spotted Albert Lee himself, we got into a pretty lengthy conversation about music and a Limited Edition AL model that MM's coming out with, and I eventually moved on to more exhibits.

I've heard it several times here on this forum about Albert's humility and kindness. Everything said is totally true! I'm not in the biz...was just lucky enough to get a visitor's pass from a friend. But he still took the time to explain some of the wood & construction particulars that were going into the new edition and why. Great guy. Here was there hangin' out on the floor Thursday & Friday...didn't see him Saturday though.

I think you could be correct, although with the extra lighting that is there it could be desert gold!?

Hi rmh925,
When I got to the EB display I was immediately drawn to the Gold AL (Once again, I'm not up on the color names) then spotted Albert Lee chatting with an individual. We got to talking about my Pinkburst AL and he mentioned a limited edition AL was was coming out (All I know are the Black ones with RW necks & gold hardware).

He took me over to one of the displays but could find an example and simply picked up another guitar to use as a visual sample. Albert seemed to mention that these limited editions were to be made out of a combination of 3 woods. Ash (Swamp I imagine), flamed top, and a mahogany insert sandwiched in between. Kind of a tone block of sorts... We chatted abit about his amps and then I had to get going.

He stated that he felt that it produced a tighter sound and was pretty excited about it. Because he was busy I didn't get a chance to ask him further details about it.

If any one here has any further clues, I'm just as curious as you are. Maybe the Black ones are constructed this way, I don't know their specs. But I can say Albert is really humble and kind....
