I am assuming Fogman prolly has the hook up on this, but what I am looking for are a pic of the Luke in egyptian smoke and desert gold. I checked the search and could not find those, althought maybe I just passed them. Thanks and much appreciated.

Yeah you can get them in those colors, but the Luke does not seem to be the most popular model ( say compared to a Petrucci or Silo or Axis), which is probably why no one has seen any pics of them. Next week I am going to put in an order for an egyptian smoke w/ matching HS and peizo with Pete, originally it was going to be graphite pearl but the egyptian smoke is hardcore. I am going to have to start making an archive of hard to find pics like foggy....BTW GO FRANCE!!! Vidane is the MAN.:D

Hopefully 3, but we'll see I need a new plasma TV too...but, It's a toss up right now between desert gold and egyptian smoke for the second, stronlgy leaning towards the desert gold. Looks really good on the Petrucci. I thought about getting a sunburst, but the maple top MAY come out in a while so I'd better wait for that! Did you get the Tobacco sunburst Axis yet?

that is definitely cool! desert Gold luke would be a wise move. so how come you've gone Luke mad?

Havent got the Axis yet, the seller wont even receive my money until tuesday, and it has to come to australia so i'm not expecting it this week. so its a 3 ball month with my Y2D and 20th silo all coming too!!

How long till your Luke's arrive, or did you just recently order them?

Like 5 months....I ordered the CBP Luke last week and thats mid November, the next one I am assuming will be early December...Merry Christmas! Basically, the Luke I played solved some serious problems for me playing/comfort wise, and the sound fit well. I dont always use a lot of distortion, mostly clean with like an over driven Vox AC-30 sound, some delay added. I sing and play, so I hate to have to concentrate too much on hand comfort when playing, which with my Silo's just didnt always feel right. The Luke changed all thit sheet, plus the body size and shape are PERFECT for playing live in my opinion. I really think its the 12' radius though with that V shape. The Morse has a 12' radius, but does not feel at all as well suited to my hands as the Luke. Again, not the flashiest guitar but subtle and very functional IMHO. Thats why I am crazy biatch for them now. So, if you dont want that Burcnt apple you let a brother know...

Hah! I love my Burnt Apple, i think it needs a good setup, plus raise the action a tad, but i'll always use it live ( as well as my Axis ) cos it sounds so bloody great clean, i too dont use much distortion, and the Luke does that sound the best. plus the emg's dont break up easy when you turn the volume up on your amp, so i get crystal clean sounds up loud. with the axis and my silo special its not the case.

I think the Luke is flashy!

Thats another thing I noticed too when I played it. The EMG's make it bell clear, really different and pleasant. I wish I actually HAD a couple original AC-30's just to try them out and see, my Slash sig is getting old. BUt yeah, the Luke does that sound the best of any I've ever heard. I have read some negative things about EMGs tonewise over the years, but I really cant see what people mean. It ADDS to the tone, those pickups let the guitar sound true, I guess you could say it is clearer to hearing the guitars true tone. My opinion anyways...I am just trying to be patient until the Maple topped one comes out.

Two great reasons why I love Luke's too.

The Luke is like, say, the dirty Librarian, the bedroom s#$t as we say here...LOL. Basically, you wouldnt think she could or would do those things but Lo and Behold she's down with ANYTHING...Like a Luke. Now the Axis, thats more like Jenna Jameson, full on porn star in your face stuff (My Opinion). Dont you just love my analogies? Henceforth, my Luke(s) will go by the name of "the bedroom s@#t!!!". Yes, inspiration.

yeah we're all roaming drag queens here. I remember seeing that movie years and years ago, didnt like it at all!!!

mate i pay for my guitars by playing my guitars ( ! ) and teaching guitar. had lots of one off gigs that pay real good this year, plus i sold off a few of my guitars earlier in the year ( Ibanez's ) to pay for the Morse and some of the Silo, saved up the hard way for the Axis Honeyburst.
