Hey guys,

I just might switch from Silo to JP6 next week. The bodysurface of the silhouette behind the floyd is too small to hold a MIDI-pickup, wich I need. Was looking to trade it for a JP6 but got an amazing bid on the Silo I really have a hard time ignoring, way more than I paid for it, so I'll probably take it

Anywayz, at my usual evilbay-rounds I found a lava pearl JP6 that I truly like in the photo's, but i'm not sure if the color matches "real life". Is it an accurate representation of the color when I'll open the case? Red is always difficult to shoot...

So my question to you: could you post pics of your lava pearl Balls that you feel capture the real life color?! Thanks!

I don't think you could go wrong with Lava Pearl. It's a very cool color. It's hard to tell in the photos, but it's more of an orange than red. This photo is close to the true representation of the color. I've seen this particular guitar in person. Put in a photo request for fogman. He's the photo guru around here. He can help you out with some more pics.

I think the pic of Lonney pretty much represents how the color looks like. Don't know where you live, but Muzikaza in Roermond has got a lave pearl Luke in stock...Very nice, a real eyecatcher!

Thanks guys! Some pics I love the lava, others less. Love the more reddish ones. I'm getting a really, really hard time deciding on color to be honest. Best one to me is DD2, but since I'll only be able to afford one of those in a couple of years that one's out. Other contenders: white (pearl), MD, carbon blue pearl, sterling silver, electric blue, olive gold, blue pearl, rad red, candy red, egyptian smoke...Could live with all of them. Good thing the choices are somewhat more limited nowadays ;). If I had the choice of all colors ever I would pick the original white sparkle btw! Good luck finding one of those...

Anyway, the guy backed out of his offer. Complete radio-silence to be honest. It's always the same with internet-sales :(. Anyone in for a trade after all ;)?

This pic is a good representation of the color most of the time... Maybe a bit "hotter" than that...

Here's mine, along with the MD and Blue Dawn.
