My BD started life as a white pearl. Abalone had just been introduced and I actually had that pickguard before the guitar arrived.
LE's in the past have had the guards choosen for them.
What color guard would you like on your BD?
Is Clear an option?
How about a blue metal-flake guard?

There's no question that BIG POPPA and his crew are going to turn out some great Blue Dawn's. But how about doing something extra special. For the models that have pickguards....How about rear routing with a clear pickguard....or no pickguard at all. If that can't be arranged, I'd go with WHITE ICE with black hardware or MOONSTONE with black hardware. Just my 2 cents.

Foggy, Do you have any Black Ice on blue dawn pics?

No ,but there are white ice, black, white, white pearl and black pearl.

I would guess there will be a new pickguard coming in 2007. I believe I recall BP saying when discussing BFR, 2007 LE, etc.... that he was looking at a bunch of new pickguards. Maybe we'll see a nice blue pearl???

After careful consideration ;) ;) I have decided that I think black would be the best choice. It's classic, clean and just looks darn good. One really cool feature of a black picguard on a Blue Dawn is that if I decide I want anything else...I can change it.
No Darth...those were not the droids we were looking for. I told them they could go on about their business.
Most importantly is that Blue Dawn is making a comeback. I'm just happy here.
