I have an idea but it may have to wait until I have coffee in the morning......
Yeah. It's always easier to ponder these things after a major evacuation.

Let's hope Dudley has some ideas. Just seems to me that you should be playing something with a completely original look, like Jack's Flaming Bongo.

Rosewood neck, as in the BC/RW Bongo at the Open House?

Well, that certainly is a popular look.. but I would try to sway you toward something more one-of-a-kind.

Maybe get your MG single H rosewood, but get one hell of a custom fretboard inlay? Perhaps have some of your favorite items as fret markers? A Bottle of K-1 at the 1st fret, a martini glass at the 15th, a golf club at position 9 (the 9th hole!), a Hawaiian shirt at the 7th, crossed hockey sticks at the 3rd, and of course.. mini-images of Jack and Lucious at other positions..

What do you say? You've probably got the artistic talent in-house.

A single H bongo, with a bookmatched maple top, ala the 1996 20th Anv. Stingray?

Might take a while to make, but think how sweet that whould be?

My first suggestion is the Hawaiian shirt thing, but since I'm a selfish bastard, I'd love to see an Axis Bass.....

Aww, I hate to be the one guy who doesn't know what's going on, but...what's going on? BP getting a new, special bass for...? His birthday? Some event coming up? I must know!

Also, those rosewood-necked EBMM's are totally sexy.

If we're dreaming up crazy basses, then here's my dream:
-Sterling
-Alder body, flame maple top
-Tobaccoburst finish with no pickguard
-Wenge neck with ebony unlined fretless fingerboard
-Dual humbuckers

Jack was presented with BP's prized single-H Bongo (from the Open House) for being the super moderator and all-around good guy that he is known for well...being.

That sounds good to me! Why then all the talk about other basses, too?

BP's torn between the Bongo and the Sterling, if I read correctly.

Any mention of 'other' basses is purely coincidental, and subject to...whatever.
