Ok, I know the setup questions are tedious. I'm making great progress in doing my own setup with good results. Adouglas has been quite helpful, thank you One nagging question is the pickup height for basses with more than one pickup.
From the MM FAQ: On the new 2-pickup basses, the measurements are virtually the same on the bridge pickup and the neck pickup is further away, about 8/32" or 6.35mm from the string to the pickup.
On the HH bongos I've seen, the pickups were set to the same higher height, 4.76 mm, presumably from the factory. Ditto for the SSS Big Al I just acquired. Anyone clarify? All pickups to 4.76? Or follow the FAQ? How about for the SSS config?
