My 1992 stingray has become very "muddy" sounding and has lost all its punch and top end, also I have noticed during recording a "earthy" buzz coming from it which stops when I touch any part of the metal parts.
Have tried all the usual things, battery / lead / strings with no avail.
To me it looks like the pick up, is this normal and has it happened to any body else ?????
Please help, my cool bass is sounding pants.........
