I guess the nicest thing I can say is that if I ever give jack another bass i will super glue the pickguard to the body. Hideous. If Picasso gave you a painting of a lady would you paint your own cindy crawford mole starter kit on it?

Does this mean that we won't have a pickguard art contest here soon?

Ah, but the original black ice guard hangs on the wall in the studio. The "Cindy Crawford Mole Starter Kit" is completely removable!

I like the third 1 as well. :)

I experimented a bit with pickguards as well but always came back to the original ones.
But when I see those pictures again....haha

Just out of curiosity......
How did you make the last one? Is it a print and then put under a clear pickguard?

A pickguard competition would be a nice idea indeed :p

All of them look cool!

I ordered White 3 layered pickguard for my Anny to drill the holes for the thumbrest in it, becasue I didn't want to spoil the original pickguard. I tried many different colour before I ordered one, and I agree the factory pickguard is the best option, I got white just to have something different. But anyway, now I have a spare pickguard for graffiti experiments!

I prefer the "Maja desnuda" (#3) one. Pickguard #2 makes me seasick and pickguard #1, while cool, looks like a t-shirt I bought at a head shop back in 1991.

I'd say you should ice off the moles.

I know this is an old one....Jack, how did you make your pickguards?

Process-Glues- Paper type?

Rog

Traced a pickguard outline on a piece of cardboard. Glued stuff on it until I was sick of gluing stuff on it. Cut out with scissors (or hire really talented gnawing rodents). Put clear guard over, voila!
