Bought a new pickguard, but whew, this looks complicated. Aside from the pickups, and vol and tone pots, ... there is a round cylindrical object about 1/3 inch tall adhered to the underside of the pickguard. I assume this is part of the silent circuit ... is it simply glued to the pickguard with two-sided tape? Safe to remove and just stick onto the underside of the new pickguard?

Any other issues I should be advised of?

Thanks!

Yep, that's the only thing out of the ordinary. It's a pretty easy swap. Just fine-tune the circuit again when it's all in place (in playing position, or as close to it as you can get).

Honestly, I don't use the silent circuit on either of my SSS ALs, I took the batteries out and can't tell a lick of difference. Is that a sin? Ha ha!
