Hello,

I am new to the Forum and a New Owner of a 4 String Tobacco Sunburst Sterling.
It has a matching headstock with a Rosewood fretboard.

Could you all offer suggestions on a Pickguard Color ( it came with a Plain Black one ).

1) Black Pearloid
2) White Pearloid
3) Abalone
4) Shell
5) Keep Original Plain Black one

Shell Color

Looking at another thread on this forum, there was one that showed a picture with the EBMM color options and that was one of them. It looks like it has Red and Black colors.

not a Sterling but . . .

I have just about every pickguard that's available for an SR4 but only have pics with black & white pearl. I've tried tort, & black pearl too but IMO, flat black or gloss black is the best w/ rosewood. I'd probably go w/plain white or perhaps tort if it had a maple board (IMO)

Hey Torino2, Wecome and congrats on the Tobacco Burst Sterling / mhs/ rosewood ...

I replied earlier I thyink, but this dang computer in the old folks home where I live now dumped my post into a great huge bit bucket in the sky ... honest, this time it wusn't my brain damage:) ... fact is wunce I wuz asking the same Q as U and I wuz thinking about moonstone cuz I saw one at a nearby shop and liked it a lot, but BP scorched me pretty quick and steered me toward Tort Shell and ..who am I to Q the chief MusicMan and legendary top magician:cool:;):), I mean, He's "The Man for Good Reasons ... so, the word is according to the famous quote ... "Tort that baby!!!":)...

There you have it Tobacco Burst and Tort is the way to go ... otherwise, whatever you decide, Play it with feeling, and always ingood health:)

bass regards,
/PL:)

Thanks to all who have offerred suggestions and voted as well.
Initially I was set on the the White Pearloid, but more and more the "Tort" is winning me over....:)

I am going to start pricing the Tort PG, and see how that goes..
