Pickguards for Buttercream?

Has anyone out there ever replaced the stock tort pickguard on their Buttercream guitars/basses?

I've got a 2005 LE Bongo and I'm thinking about swapping out the stock guard just to change it up a bit. I'm thinking of Vintage White Pearloid or Black Pearloid as options.

Anyone? Photos?

No pics, but white perloid might be groovy... keep in mind that is coming from the blind guy... who doesn't see color, so it would probably look awesome!

Well the tort goes along with the red logos. Anything else just wouldn't make it look like the LE anymore.

Yeah...I've seen the photos of his Big Al which looks awesome with the orange swirl! Very cool indeed. I'm not totally sure it would work quite as well with Buttercream but I have definitely considered it.

I did VERY briefly swap the guards over on my Rays, just to see what it would look like, put a B/W/B on the Buttercreme, an ........ naw swapped it straight back.
Tort with that colour is about the best.
I did take a picture of it but don't have it on my computer at the min but will post it for you soon as .

I don't think I've ever seen that pickguard material before. What is it called?

Its the Pickguard from the copperhead bronze color that was made for namm 2004, if i understand correctly, nobody ordered that color and the only ones that were made were made for that show.

I have a sterling in the finish, and had to have the copperwash pg for my ray too. It looks cool on anything.
