WOW, excellent pics. Way too many choices. Now i am thinking about that Abalone.

You guys are great, i really appreciate this except now I can't make up my mind.

your better half will make up your mind. they always do.

WOW, just showed my better half the photos here and she is nuts for the black pickguard. Now I see what she and others are talking about when she explained why it looks better.

done! :p;)

THANKS for the cool pics, everyone!!!
Not everyone. Just me. :D

Yes ,the black will have the thin sandwich of white just like in Frogmans pic.

I'm always being transformed into an amphibian state! :p

Pacific Blue Burst w/Black Pearloid (Rosewood)

Had black - did not like it. Switched to Black Pearloid.

Sorry for the dark photo -- keeping the studio dim aids in my creative process.

I've since switched back to the black pickguard and the maple fretboard that it came with:

It's hard to capture the VWP, but put it with PBB and it really is killer. Personally, I'm not a sunburst/tobacco burst guy, I prefer blue, and I like that the VWP still gives a classic, over-the-years kind of vibe.

Compared to white ice:

I want better pics of the PBB with black pearloid please!
I don't have any of that option.
It would really help others in the future. :)

Good luck - John.

Clear would be very cool.

Even Cooler would be White ice like mine (see above picture)!!!!

However I was told when I ordered my backup pickguard from my rep here in Ontario that EB ran out of material and had one more custom made just for me as a favor to a knucklehead, from their distributor. So Im pretty sure my White Ice is the last from EB.

keep hunting, and enjoy it

I will show the Mrs black perloid and see what she says. She did not see the black perloid. Order has not been placed yet. Still waiting for paperwork approval from EB so I have time to second guess myself.

I would go for black. I nearly bought a 5er in that colour and would have had a black pickguard but went with Honeyburst instead (and yes I put a black pickguard on).

I like black pickguards, but then again I'm a bit boring...
