Hello.
My son gave me a fernandes Nomad.

He got tired of playing, and knew I use to play a long time ago back in the 70's.

I use to have a '73 Les Paul Deluxe I used Ernie Ball Super Slinkys on it.
Is that still a good choice for an all around string?

I don't play lead, mainly rhythm, but a small bit of lead.
I tried the Extra Super Slinkys way back then, and they were to thin.

This guitar need some TLC, and I am going to buff the fret board tomorrow with 0000 steel wool.
I'll have a shop tune the bridge for me, as it's all out of whack, and the tuners on the head are loose on the ends a bit.

Thanks, Corey

Regular slinkies are more suited to a 24" scale guitar like the Nomad, but it comes down to personal preference. Your Les Paul was also a 24" scale instrument. If you liked super slinkies on that guitar, you'll probably like them on the Nomad.
