What is a good starting point for height adjustments on a Silhouette? I think I have my bridge & neck about where they should be with good volume balance between the two, but when I flip the switch to the middle, the volume drops too dramatically to be usable. I am wondering if the proper way to set these up would be to lower the humbuckers below what is normally set height for those type pickups??

Thanks

For all the HSH guitars I have, I tend to keep the neck and bridge humbuckers as far as possible from my string without losing tone. The neck would be farther than the bridge though, due to the crest of the wavelength at the neck hum. I also tend to keep the mid single high, because I do use middles quite a bit.

I have all of mine set pretty high at the moment, and the volume difference between the hums and single is about what you would expect, and defnitely useable. Tomorrow I'll take a pic of my pup height to give you a referrence.

Thanks very much for the pix...yours is set much closer than mine (all 3).

Do you get any magnetic pull (ie stratitis) from that middle pickup being that close?
