Curious if anyone out there knows why EBMM used fixed spacers on the Single-coil pickups?
No adjustment allowed. And the humbucker is screwed into the body, no height adjustment.
I've been trying to balance the outputs of the pickups and discovered they had no height adjustment.
Had my tech put some surgical tubing in there so I could at least get some adjustment on the singles.

Hi. I love my Luke II to bits. The only issue that I continually have is the output difference from the single coils to the HB. I figure lifting the single coils up a bit would help even out the imbalance between the pickups. I know I can roll off the bridge to get it softer - and I do that when necessary, I would like it to be a bit more even if possible.

How did raising the pickups work for you - is there less of an imbalance now ?

Regards, Peter

I called customer service about this. They are hard mounted. No need to adjust. They are PERFECT...

...really... they are....

I fiddled about with the MM90's on my latest AL purchase. They are also hard mounted. After trying many adjustments, I ended up putting them back to factory hard mount.
EBMM knows what they are doing....

Thanks for the info. The other thing I wondered is if maybe the SLVs are scooped in the midrange at all ? Any ideas ?
