pickup poles

i noticed on my SUB 4 that the poles on the pickup seem to be uneven... the G and E string poles are lower than the A and D. is this supposed to be like this? if not, how do i fix it?

They are supposed to be like that...to follow the curve of the fretboard and the arch of the strings.

They don't seem to be doing that on the newer models though. My Bongo, HH Sterling and HH Stingray all have the poles at the same height.

They still are on the single H SR4, my newest one is still that way.

My SR4 HH appear to be level, but my SR5 HH at close inspection, the center poles appear just a hair taller than the outer poles.
