Hi all, im new here, and this is my first post!

Today i recieved a MusicMan trem and a Pair of custom dimarzio pickups (supposedly to be EVH's) that i bought from a member on another forum...can someone here tell me, whats on the back of the pickups? what does it says? what color are the conductors? and does it says dimarzio on the corner of the front black side of the pickups??

it has a sticker that says neck, and the other one says bridge.. also, some US patents numbers.. that are.. 4,501,185 and a red one that says 5,399,802

have ive been scammed? or what? these are EVH's or Axis? or some dimarzios?

PS: the backside of them is black.

yeah thats cool, axis or evh's, i read here that they were the same pups..

i was looking at them now.. the have in the middle of the back.. engraved Dimarzio Pickups Made in USA. and the cables are white, red, green and black. thats 4 conductor right? so that makes them Axis.. or maybe they were moddified like that (i dont know)

they have DIMARZIO engraved in the front too? im gonna take some p[ictures of them when i get home.. and post them here.

It's impossible to tell from the description. Most of Dimarzio's humbuckers have multiple wires so you can split the coils.

As they're made by Dimarzio and not MM, you're best bet is to contact Dimarzio directly. I did that for a set of Silhouette Special pickups I bought and they were very helpful on the phone.

get a multimeter, the Dimarzio website has all the specs on each pickup.

radio shack sells a really cool little yellow multi mmeter ..about 39.99.......cat. 22-820.
it closes up completely....so it stays neat...& the leads dont waunder all over yer tool box.....
set it to k ohms......black lead on green wire........red lead on red wire...& tie the black & white pickup leads together. u shouls get a reading somewhere between like 6 & 24k.
have fun......

I've never noticed any Dimarzio engraving on any OEM Dimarzio pickups before. I know it's not on my Axis pups... would it be there on the EVH's?
