First, I think it will happen anyway.. but secondly, I think 'petitioning' BP just pisses him off.

I agree, I think we'll see the "sitrucci" production model sometime in the next year, it's too good not to make.

would it be too much to start a petition for the construction of a sitrucci in 2007? would BP go off his rocker???

Put yourself in BP's or Dargin's position. You have a forum and you get great user feedback and it's a great place to share information. Then the users start making demands, would that piss you off? It would me. So, I might thinkk that BP would be bothered by it.

I think SteveB and Ernie are right. Hang tight, if JP likes it and sounded like he did they will make it. :)

It's funny though, having had many locking Floyd guitars over the years which I've always been happy with, I didn't realise how used I'd become to the simplicity of the Pet trem recently. All this mucking about with locking nuts and fine tuners seems like hard work now!:D

Floyd is a pain but it gives you that added punch. My next ball is going to be a hardtail.

humm... I'm a bit angry at muself because I can't get really excited aboiut this just becasue it has gold hardware.

is the dimarzio dropsonic standard now? if THAT was the limited element of this model, that would be cool. not owning a transducer equiped JP, are the additional parimeter controls on the back standard?

I think just not a big enough fan of gold hardware to really freak out that much.

Hi there

Yup, the Pets are my faves.I'm pretty much in agreement with SteveB. My reasons in no particular order are:-

1) Super comfortable to wear especially with the big forearm cutout. Really becomes part of your body especially playing live.
2) Trem system is best I've ever tried. I like 'em floating and responsive and this baby has that with no nasty sticking out bits!
3) Pickup and switching options cover every sound I need. Middle position is particularly clever with the coil taps giving a really different clean sound.
4) For me it also sounds the best - I love the Axis but I prefer the tone of the Pet in a straight shoot out. The p/ups seem to have more definition and clarity with a thick gainny sound.

To be fair, I've only had the Y2D for a few weeks so I don't really know it yet. Will report further once this has been tried in anger!

thanks mate, i think i need to try one out, but that aint happening. I hate floyds, and dont want to own any floyd axe again, but this Pet trem looks the goods, all the benefits of a foyd without the heartache. I think i'll add it to my list of EBMM guitars to get, which is a lot smaller than what it was at the start of the year.....

If/when that guitar hits the production line, I will happily take orders for it - as long as it is NOT called the "sitrucci" or referred to as such in quote/order requests. Something about that name is just hideous... "JP Deluxe" or "JP Hybrid" are much better.

I agree that "Sitrucci" just sucks as a name for the instrument, but for the time being we all know what we're talking about when it is mentioned.

It needs a better 'code name'. "Maple top John Petrucci with ? pickups and black pickup rings in Caramel Burst" is just too long.

Suggestions, anyone?

J Prime?

Petrucci Deluxe?

Mjollnir?

hello everybody... im just curious about the JP6 LE... do they have that in different color or just the black one?

i am about to buy a JP6 Lava Pearl Loaded, til i heard about the JP6 LE. I already have a sapphire black JP and i want to buy the LE if it comes in another color. otherwise i guess i would go ahead with the lava pearl....
