Yea, I was thinking about that a while back also. There should be a sticky that's a library of JUST pictures of all the guitars arranged by model and than colors and than of course all the other options. I think it would REALLY help ANYONE who wants a EBMM to decide what color they want and all the other options as well. I think it would be a GREAT solution, untill the MM page is updated at some point with the build page and all. PLus it's easier that searching for a specific picture, also with some of the pictures not being available to see or being deleted or expired.

Maybe we should check it out with the Mods.
A good idea would be that to post pictures you have to open say a (free) photobucket account or similar(that way we don't tie up EB's server) what ya think Mods ?

Nice collection, james bradshaw.

I've always fancied the Mk1 with the Floyd -- can you describe the pros and cons in comparison to the Mk2 with the MM trem.

Thanks.

Pros and cons

To me it's mainly about what type of music im playing as to what luke i use, if i was gonna play say fast instromental stuff with loads of guitar whammy bar in it or ballads that require and a smoother more violin type sound i have to use my luke mk1, because if i realy go made with the whammy bar dive bombs you name it and this baby will NOT go out of tune it is the most stable guitar i've ever played,
also for ballads the emg's on this are not as angry as the new mk2 slv's..
as for the luke mk2 i use it mainly on more middle of the road rocky stuff ie ac dc, status , foreinger, toto 98 onwards this guitar is much more guttsy and can realy chew you head off when put through the right setup but it does go out of tune if you realy punish that whammy bar as would all vintage trem guitars whoever they r made by .. These luke's r my pride anf joy and i would not hesitate to get another whether it be mk1 or mk2 they are both 10/10 to me ...damn i need to get some more spare cash... james

More pics, less talk!!! lol j/k I personally cant say anything about the mk1 and mk2 since I dont have my mk2 yet. I also have never tried the mk1, since they are hard to come by and out of production. However from the options the geetars have I prefer the mk2 because it has the tone knob which I use and also the vintage trem will do for me. I am not a crazy dive bombing freak or Vai typa stuff at all, and plus I hate dealing with locking tremolos. The locking thing is not a huge issue for me, but why screw around with it if I dont use the trem insanely and the MM trem stays in tune very nicely and is very stable.
I just cant freakin wait to get my Luke mk2, and I will submitt many pictures. But untill then I would LOVE to see the Lukes in ALL possible colors. Let's see them people!!!! :D

Hi fogman do you have a photo site that you could upload some of your pics to maybe a couple of pics of each luke colour you have, im useing webshots at the moment it's free, it lets upload 5 pics a day and a maximum of about 200 pics (i think) ive been doing this for the past 4 days and seems to be quite good ive had 300 views and i only put it on this site as a link a few days ago maybe this or something simular would be cool for all us luke guitar fans out there to show of our beuties....

Fogman...only 272 pics out of 4.25 thousand!!!

I'm really after pics showing Lukes in a variety of colors to see how they look in shades other than Luke Blue (after all 99% of them are in that color - not that theres anything wrong with this color!).

More specifically I'm after pics of Luke II's in colors you can order today (get where this is heading??) ;)

Thanks
Steve

LOL! 5 pics a day! How many years would that take me? :p
I currently trying to figure out how to organize this on Photobucket.
It would cost me money though. I actually got an email the other day saying I was almost at my free limit!!! and it was so many dollars to sign up and get a big account. I don't mind spending a few bucks on this, the only problem is that it's an annual cost. Maybe if I get the fogman account maxed out, then another account with fogman part 2, then bizarro fogman......

Out of the ebmm line (for 6 string axes) I don't believe the Luke is up there in sales with the Pet and the Axis.
I will post a sampling for you.

Thanks Foggy.

Matching headstock is the way to go I think...

...and Desert Gold is not my thing! ;)

Any more pics in the darker colors? Graphite Pearl, Sapphire Black, Black, Egyptian Smoke etc?

Thanks again!

Steve

Oops! I do have more colours.
Look back at the pics. I've titled them with the appropriate colour names in case some newbies are wondering. :)
