Hi everyone, I love my ax40 and have seen alot of them, but I think this one has the nicest quilt ive ever seen, I really lucked out, even the neck is figured, for a veneer its great! image.jpg image.jpg .

That pink is nice, thats the GC purple/pinkish one they made, i like it. I heard the new ax40d comes in a proper trans purple, I would like to see a natural or green, even pink!

Here's my purple one it's the ax40d with the real dimarzio axis pickups plays amazing.

Thats nice, im putting dimarzio tone zone and air norton in mine, not quite axis pickups, but great pickups in their own right, I tried the AT1 for the bridge because dimarzio says its the closest to the axis bridge, but i thought it was much weaker than the axis bridge, so im going tonezone,

Nice guitar...when you say the top has a veneer, is it a slice of maple like the Axis top, but much thinner?

Yes, it is a real maple top, the axis is a quarter inch thick, the ax40 is a 16th of an inch thick veneer, real maple same real beautiful quilt.
